Shadab will return home from England on Monday

LAHORE–Following his appointment with Dr. Patrick Kennedy, world-renowned gastroenterologist and hepatologist with special interest in liver disease in elite sportsmen, Pakistan’s wrist-spinner Shadab Khan will return home from London on April 29.

After being diagnosed with a viral infection in his blood, Shadab was ruled out of the Pakistan team for the tour of England.

A Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman said here on Saturday that Shadab had been put on medication and was also advised to have complete rest for two weeks, after which he would go through another round of blood tests in Lahore. After that, his availability for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup will be clarified.
